Keep Your Vehicle Using Longer – ENGINE OIL –
How often do you change the engine oil of your vehicle? In Japan, it is recommended to do every mileage 5000km to 10,000 km. (It depends on the condition of the driving situation. If the severe driving, it may need to change earlier.)
We believe that changing engine oil is one of the good maintenances to keep your beloved vehicle’s life longer. Here, we will explain how the engine oil works.
MAIN FUNCTION OF OIL
The engine is the heart, most important part, and engine oil is like blood, in human terms. So, we should keep attention to oil, not only the appearance. Keeping good condition of engine oil makes the engine healthy!
5 rolls of engine oil:
1.Lubricating
Reduce the friction between cylinder and piston and move smoothly.
2.Sealing
Seal the clearance between piston and piston ring, and prevent from outgassing, which keeps the engine power higher.
3.Cooling
Absorb the heat of the engine to prevent overheating
4.Cleaning
Absorb the sludge inside of the cylinder to keep the engine clean
5.Rust Prevention
Prevent the rust causing due to moisture and acid
How to Choose Your Oil
There are many kinds of engine oil. Most people leave the choice of oil to the mechanic when they change it. To find the most suitable oil for your car from among them, let's first know the viscosity of the oil contained in the new car. Based on that, we can select the oil according to the usage situation and purpose of use. Here is the small tips to select the oil; ① After checking the oil viscosity (oil hardness) at the time of new car, ② check oil viscosity, and then you can easily find the best oil for your vehicle.
1.Check the Oil Viscosity
Even with a new car or a used one, you can check it with the instruction manual book attached to the car. The recommended viscosity of engine oil varies depending on the type of vehicle, temperature, conditions of use (how to run), etc. Since the vehicle manufacturer indicates the viscosity according to the outside of air temperature in the instruction manual book, which is the one way to check the recommended viscosity. Low viscosity (5 W, 10 W, etc.) is good startability, and high viscosity (30, 40, 50 etc.) is excellent high speed performance.
2.Choose Oil Viscosity
Depending on whether hardening or softening the viscosity of the oil, it is possible to better match the purpose and the way which you usually drive.
The numbers written in the oil viscosity symbol means that the larger number is, the harder oil is, the smaller one is, the softer it is.
In the engine oil can, the symbol "O W - ●" is displayed, which represents the oil viscosity index (oil hardness), O W is viscosity at the low oil temperature, ● is the viscosity at the high temperature.
We not only sell the used truck/machinery, but also think after-service/maintenance is very important. We would like you to use one vehicle for long time, so if you are looking for any spare-parts or replacement parts, please feel free to ask us!
