It consists of approximately 6,800 islands including 5 major ones; Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyusyu, and Okinawa. Japan is about 380,000 square kilometers in area.
Our time zone is UTC + 9. So the time difference between Japan and Philippines is 1 hour, Japan and Zambia is 7 hours, and Kenya and Japan is 6 hours.
The capital city of Japan is Tokyo. And Tokyo is chosen as the host city of the 2020 Olympic Games. The population in Japan is about 127 million, although the number is decreasing due to the low birth rate.
