What is the role of the parts above the cabin?

Have you ever seen any trucks with the parts above their cabin? And do you know the role of that part?

It looks similar, but there are many types of roles. Today, I will talk about the role of the part.

There are actually 4 types of cabin roofs like below.

1 Standard Roof

2 High Roof

3 Super High Roof

4 Air Deflector

It looks like the Super High Roof in appearance. But this is a kind of aero parts that reduce the consumption of fuel by decreasing the air resistance.

1 Standard Roof

Flat roof as seen on regular trucks. This is the most typical cabin for trucks.

2 High Roof

The high roof is a cabin with higher ceiling as the name says. The advantages of this high roof cabin are not only that the driver is easy to move inside the truck but also that a lot of storage is secured because the ceiling is high. It is the appearance from the exterior is characterized by the appearance that the additional space is perfectly attached without any gap above the cabin.

3 Super High Roof

The Super High Roof is the cabin which have a small bed room on the very top of the cabin so that the long-distance truck drivers can lie down properly and take a good break. Not only that but also a lot of storage is secured because the ceiling is high. The appearance of High Roof and Super High Roof is very similar, but the Super High Roof has a small window besides the bed to catch the daylight.

4. Air Deflector

What kind of effect do you guess on an Air Deflector?

Now, what kind of effect whether you say on an Air Deflector specifically, to reduce resistance of a wind, improvement of the mileage and safety of the body are raised. Because when the height of the upper part of a cab and the carrier is not flat, air resistance becomes big the minute, an Air Deflector is put to make them reduce the air.

Suppress a moving stroll of a truck

A truck is a vehicle with the height, so the body becomes so easy to stroll that it's run at high speed. But a stroll is suppressed by installing the baffle plate which are Aero parts, and a flow of a wind becomes good, and it improves stability of the truck.
