Which is the best? ; High deck, Flat low or Full flat low
When you consider getting a truck, you may also consider which one is more suitable for your purpose of use; high deck, flat low, or full flat low. As a note for those, who have never heard about those words, they all mean the height of the truck body from the ground.
Simply, it is called “high deck” because the body is set on higher place than the one of flat low or full flat low. Then, what is the difference between flat low and full flat low? What are the pros and cons for each types? To solve your questions and clear concerns, here we have a summary of those 3 different types!
High deck
Pros
As for most of our customers in south-east Asia or Africa, High deck truck remarks a No.1 seller. This is because high deck type is the most suitable for the road which is not yet paved/flattened. Since this type is applied bigger size of tires, it reduces uncomfortable vibration conveyed by bumpy roads, and ease the burden to the driver or loaded cargos, compared to flat low or full flat low type.
There is also another benefit. As all of the tires used with this type are same size, 1 spare tire is enough to carry in case of a flat tire. You don’t have to prepare several different sized tires, so it means high deck types are more costless to maintain.
Cons
Although high deck type is more comfortable to ride and cheaper to maintain, they also have a demerit. Since the body is located on the higher position, it makes a little harder for you to load cargos without using folk lift or any machinery.
Recommend for: People who lives in the area where its road is not yet paved

Flat low
Pros
Since the body is located at lower position, it will be effortless for you to load cargos into the body by your own arms. Also, because the body is at the low level, it maximizes the loading spaces if you would like to carry big cargos or talker cargos.
Cons
Flat low type applies smaller tires for rears and bigger tires for fronts. Due to this difference of the front/rear tires, you may be needed 2 different size of tires in case they got damaged. Additionally, flat low is not suitable for unpaved roads. As its axle is closer to the ground, they may hit the obstacles on the road and get damaged.
Recommend for: People who want to ease your cargo loading works, and minimize your budget to get a truck

Full flat low
Pros
Full flat low is the hybrid of the high deck and flat low. It has smaller tires compare to high deck and also the body is located lower level, which makes easier for you to load cargos by your own arms. Also, all the tires are same size. So, the running cost will be cheaper as the same reason as the high deck.
Cons
Since the level of the body is as low as flat low type, full flat low type is also not suitable for bumpy road.
Recommend for: People who want to ease your cargo loading works, and save the vehicle running cost
