Let's take measures against rust!
If you are using a used truck and many years truck, rust to be worried about. Do you think it is okay if it is rusted a little and leave it alone? Leaving the rust on the truck can lead to trouble later. This time, I would like to introduce one of the major damages to truck "RUST".
Why gets rust?
Why do trucks get rusted in the first place? Originally, trucks are coated with rust prevents. Therefore, it can be said that trucks are extremely resistant to rust if they are in the state at the time of purchase.
However, trucks carry heavy objects on the loading platform or travel long distances. If you use it for many years in this way, the rust preventive material will come off, the weight of the luggage will damage the car body, and the iron plate, etc. protected by the rust preventive material will be exposed.
When moisture adheres to the exposed iron plate it reacts with oxygen in the air. It becomes "Iron Oxide". And this "Iron Oxide" is the "RUST".
Where is the truck prone to rust?
The place where rust is likely to occur on trucks is the "Loading platform" and "Undercarriage". The truck is protected by being coated with a rust preventive material as described above. Therefore, rust is less likely to occur, but in the case of a loading platform, for example, if you load things, the rust prevents material will peel off, or weight of the loaded items will damage it, and the iron plate will be exposed. This causes rust.
As for the undercarriage, flying stones may hit and the rust preventive material may come off, salt may adhere when traveling along with coastal areas. Corrosion progresses. Rusting the undercarriage can eventually make it difficult to drive safely.
What happens if it gets rust?
Rust on a truck can make it look bad and as the rust progresses, it can have a significant impact on durability. Once rusted or corroded, it can progress at a high rate and eventually even puncture. Therefore, it is important to prevent rust firmly and remove the rust as soon as possible.

How to prevent rust?
Rust can be removed by removing tools for rust, but if possible, make sure that it does not easily rust. Here is the typical rust countermeasure.
1. Anti-corrosion Coating
Rust can be prevented by applying a rust preventive coating to the undercarriage, the paint may be scratched in a few years and rust may form from it. By applying rust Anti-corrosion coating regularly, you can expect to reduce the load on the vehicle and extend its useful life.
2. Washing
It is important to thoroughly wash the undercarriage after running along the coast to prevent the progress of corrosion. However, if the water remains after washing, it will eventually react to the water and rust when the salt and mud are removed, so use an air blower to prevent the water from remaining after cleaning.
By knowing the cause of rust and how to prevent it, make sure that you don't "suddenly get stuck because of rust" while operating a truck.
